Tis the Season

Lights before Christmas

We went to the Lights Before Christmas at RiverBanks Zoo with our college group from church Friday night. It was our first time, it was so wonderful! I recommend going if you have not gone already! There is "snow" blowing, beautiful lights, roasting marshmallows, hot chocolate, and animals. After the zoo we went to a friends house where we baked cookies, and played games. Fun night!

Christmas Tree Farm

This year we went to the Hollow Creek Tree Farm with friends to pick out a tree. Last year we had an artifical tree that we decorated. This was me and Aaron's first experience doing this, and it was so much fun. It took us about 30 minutes to get to this farm, and when we got there they gave us a saw, and we went on a hay ride. After finding the perfect tree, we drank hot chocolate. We got a Leland Cypress, that is 9 ft tall! It really is rather large but we love it, now we just have to decorate it!
